Versicles

O Lord, open my lips,

And my mouth will declare your praise.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me;

Make haste to help me, O Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Praise to You, O Christ. Alleluia.

Psalmody

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

O come, let us worship Him.

Venite

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

O come, let us worship Him.

Psalm 28:7-9 (Antiphon: Psalm 28:6)

Blessèd be the LORD!

for he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped;

my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

The LORD is the strength of his people;

he is the saving refuge of his anointed.

Oh, save your people and bless your heritage!

Be their shepherd and carry them forever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now and will be forever. Amen.

Blessèd be the LORD!

for he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.

Te Deum

Prayers

Lord, have mercy;

Christ, have mercy;

Lord, have mercy.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Almighty and eternal God, Your Son Jesus triumphed over the prince of the demons and freed us from bondage to sin. Help us to stand firm against every assault of Satan, and enable us always to do Your will; through Jesus Christ, Your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Faithful God, whose mercies are new to us every morning, we humbly pray that You look upon us in mercy and renew us by Your Holy Spirit; keep safe our going out and coming in and let Your blessing remain with us through this day; preserve us in Your righteousness and grant us a portion in that eternal life which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Amen.

Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness and put upon ourselves the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which Your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility, that in the last day, when He shall come again in glory to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to life immortal; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

O Lord, You promise to hear and answer our petitions. We therefore entreat You especially for our brothers and sisters who suffer sickness, loneliness, anxiety or fear of death. Let them know the comfort which only You can afford them, that they may meet their trials with courage and trust in You, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, You have safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in the same with Your mighty power and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger, but that all our doings, being ordered by Your governance, may be righteous in Your sight; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Benedicamus and Blessing

Let us bless the Lord.

Thanks be to God.

The grace of our Lord ✠ Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.

Amen.
