Prelude and Opening Hymn

Versicles

O Lord, open my lips,

And my mouth will declare your praise.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me;

Make haste to help me, O Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Praise to You, O Christ. Alleluia.

Psalmody

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

O come, let us worship Him.

Venite

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

O come, let us worship Him.

Psalm 99:1-5 (Antiphon: Psalm 99:9)

Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain;

for the Lord our God is holy!

The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!

He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!

The Lord is great in Zion;

he is exalted over all the peoples.

Let them praise your great and awesome name!

Holy is he!

The King in his might loves justice.

You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.

Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool!

Holy is he!

Glory be to the Father and to the Son

and to the Holy Spirit;

as it was in the beginning,

is now and will be forever. Amen.

Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain;

for the Lord our God is holy!

Forever, O Lord, your Word is firmly set in the heavens.

Lord, I love the habitation of your house

and the place where your glory dwells.

Blessed are they who hear the Word of God and keep it.

Lord, I love the habitation of your house

and the place where your glory dwells.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

Lord, I love the habitation of your house

and the place where your glory dwells.

Sermon: Mark 10:13-16 - "To Such Belongs the Kingdom of God"

Te Deum

Prayers

Lord, have mercy;

Christ, have mercy;

Lord, have mercy.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

O God, in the glorious Transfiguration of Your beloved Son You confirmed the mysteries of the faith by the testimony of Moses and Elijah, and in the voice that came from the bright cloud You wonderfully fore-showed our adoption by grace. Mercifully make us co-heirs with the King of His glory and bring us to the fullness of our inheritance in heaven; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Lord God, we pray for the family of our sister-in-Christ, Elizabeth Reidl, and for all who mourn her death, that you would give them comfort in their grief by the certainty of the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting in Jesus Christ. We give you thanks for her life of faith and the many years of fellowship at the altar of Christ, and we look forward to a joyful reunion in heaven; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Lord, You are our God from the womb. Forsake us not when we are old and grey-headed. Look with kindness on those who are home-bound, isolated or contained, especially the elderly and the fragile. Protect them from

this and every illness. Turn them from their fears in this world toward Your Son in faith and hope. As you have promised to be our dear Father in Holy Baptism, so also You have joined us to Christ’s death and resurrection. Renew in Your saints the confidence that nothing can separate us from the love of God; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Lord God, Grant your blessing upon Marion Imeson as she faces surgery this Wednesday. Guide the surgeon and medical team that their work may be effective and that your servant may recover quickly according to your will. Watch over her and let your good and gracious will be done in her; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Gracious Father in heaven, you hold all things in your powerful hands. Grant that, as regions of our province begin to open again after many weeks of difficult lock down and isolation, your people remain safe and free from disease and suffering, according to your will. Allow the services of God’s house to resume within the assemblies of your Church and let your Gospel be preached to the joy and edifying of the people of Christ; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, You have safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in the same with Your mighty power and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger, but that all our doings, being ordered by Your governance, may be righteous in Your sight; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Benedicamus and Blessing

Let us bless the Lord.

Thanks be to God.

The grace of our Lord ✠ Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.

Amen.
