The Reverend Gerhard Paul Maag is a native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where he was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at First Lutheran Church.

After completing undergraduate studies at Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan, he completed seminary training at Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines, Ontario, graduating in 1987 with a M. Divinity.  He was ordained at First Lutheran Church, Windsor, Ontario

Pastor Maag served Church of the Lutheran Hour, Fort Frances, Ontario until 1997, when he accepted a call to Christ Lutheran Church, Harrow.

Pastor Maag and his wife, Liisa, have five children.
