“For thorough, permanent unity in the Church it is, above all things, necessary that we have a comprehensive, unanimously approved summary and form wherein is brought together from God’s Word the common doctrine...which the churches that are of the true Christian religion confess.”
“We have from our hearts and with our mouths declared in mutual agreementthat we shall neither prepare nor accept a different or a new confession of our faith.”

"Canada's Southernmost Lutheran Congregation"
"We preach Jesus Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness of sins."
Christ Lutheran Church was founded in A.D. 1957. We are evangelical and catholic in theology and practice; orthodox, confessional, and liturgical, by the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Divine Services are held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Christ congregation has a bi-lingual history. The founding families were immigrants from Slavonia and Romania, whose ancestors had come originally from various parts of Germany. German Services were still held every Sunday until the Fall of 1998, when the Services were combined.
Holy Communion (the Mass of the Evangelical Lutheran Church) is celebrated every Sunday and on all Major Festivals of the Church Year. The congregation normally follows the third setting of the Divine Service in the Lutheran Service Book which is chanted; Luther's Chorale Mass (setting 5) is sung on 5th Sundays. Much music adorns the worship.
Private Confession and Absolution is always available by request.
We welcome everyone to attend the Services of God; the Sacrament of the Altar is reserved for baptized members and visitors from congregations in fellowship with Christ Lutheran Church, who have received catechesis (instruction) and the Rite of Confirmation.
Mid-week Services are held during Advent and Lent. Bible Study for all ages is held every Sunday after the Divine Service (very often with coffee!). Thursday Evening Catechesis is offered for Christians preparing for communicant membership and is open to all members and visitors.
