Prelude and Opening Hymn

"O filii et filiae" by J F Dandrieu

LSB 464 - "The Strife Is O'er, The Battle Done"

Versicles

O Lord, open my lips,
    And my mouth will declare your praise.
Make haste, O God, to deliver me;
    Make haste to help me, O Lord.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
    and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning,
    is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Praise to You, O Christ. Alleluia.

Psalmody

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
    O come, let us worship Him.

Venite

Venite ‎‎‎(Psalm 95)‎‎‎

Blessed be God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
    O come, let us worship Him.

Psalm 105:1-5, 8; (Antiphon: 1 Peter 2:2-3)
Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation—
    if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
    make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his presence continually!
Remember the wondrous works that he has done
    his miracles, and the judgements he uttered,
He remembers his covenant forever,
    the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
    and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning,
    is now and will be forever. Amen.
Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation—
    if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Te Deum ‎‎‎(short ending)‎‎‎

Prayers

Lord, have mercy;
    Christ, have mercy;
Lord, have mercy.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Almighty God, grant that we who have celebrated the Lord's resurrection may by your grace confess in our life and conversation that Jesus is Lord and God; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
    Amen.

Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness and put upon ourselves the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility, that
in the last day, when he shall come again in glory to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to life immortal; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
    Amen.

O Lord, you promise to hear and answer our petitions. We therefore entreat you especially for our brothers and sisters who suffer sickness, loneliness, anxiety or fear of death. Let them know the comfort which only you can afford them, that they may meet their trials with courage and trust in you, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
    Amen.

Almighty God, heavenly Father, give us grace to trust You during this time of great distress. In your mercy put an end to this pandemic according to your will. Grant relief to those who are suffering, and comfort to those who mourn the death of loved ones. Sustain all medical personnel who are attending to the sick, and bless the efforts of those who are working tirelessly to discover a treatment for this disease. In these times of affliction and distress, strengthen us by Your Word and Spirit to continue steadfast in the one, true, saving faith; through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
    Amen.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, You have safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in the same with Your mighty power and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger, but that all our doings, being ordered by Your governance, may be righteous in Your sight; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our resurrected Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
    Amen.

Benedicamus and Blessing

Let us bless the Lord.
    Thanks be to God.

The grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.
    Amen.
